Configuring Security for OpenAccess SDK : About OpenAccess SDK security : Data encryption

Data encryption

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is an industry-standard protocol for sending encrypted data over database connections. SSL secures the integrity of your data by encrypting information and providing client/server authentication.
OpenAccess SDK supports SSL for data transfers between an OpenAccess SDK Client and an OpenAccess SDK Server. OpenAccess SDK uses SSL for data encryption and server authentication. For an SSL connection to be successful, both the OpenAccess SDK Server and OpenAccess SDK Client must be configured for SSL. If an OpenAccess SDK Client that is not configured for SSL attempts to connect to an OpenAccess SDK Server configured for SSL, the OpenAccess SDK Server rejects the connection request and returns the following error message: TCP/IP, connection reset by peer.
