The OpenAccess SDK SQL engine exposes licensing information about the features that are enabled and about the client that is connected to the server. This allows IP developers to use this information within their own licensing mechanisms to restrict certain usage of the OpenAccess SDK-based product. The IP accesses this information by calling dam_getInfo. See the specific OpenAccess SDK Programmer’s Reference for your programming language for details.
You can request the following types of information:
• DAM_INFO_CLIENT_ADDRESS: Local TCP/IP address of the system on which the OpenAccess SDK Client is running.
• DAM_INFO_CLIENT_PUBLIC_ADDRESS: Public TCP/IP address of the system on which the OpenAccess SDK Client is running.
• DAM_INFO_SESSION_TOKEN: information about the connection that is based on the DataSourceSessionToken attribute.
• DAM_INFO_CLIENT_APPLICATION_NAME: name of the application that made the connection.
• DAM_INFO_CLIENT_TYPE: type of Client (ODBC, JDBC, ADO, or ADO.NET)
• DAM_INFO_LICENSE_OPTION: license information from the key.
